On Saturday, May 30, the Bordeaux Commandery in Monaco officially opened, a first for the principality, in the presence of Prince Albert II!
The ceremony was presided over by Jean-Marc Dulong, Grand Maître of the GCVB, accompanied by a delegation of representatives from the various Bordeaux wine brotherhoods:

On Friday, May 29, the GCVB delegation was welcomed at the residence of His Excellency the French Ambassador to Monaco for a welcome cocktail reception.
On Saturday, a Mass was celebrated by the Archbishop of Monaco, followed by lunch. This was followed by a wine tasting attended by the Monaco Sommeliers Association and the Nice Côte d’Azur Provence Sommeliers Association, as well as members of the press, at the Automobile Club of Monaco. It was an opportunity to introduce the delegation from the Grand Conseil du Vin de Bordeaux and to hear a speech by the French Ambassador to Monaco, Mr. Jean d’Haussonville.
The opening ceremony for the Commanderie de Bordeaux in Monaco took place in the gardens of the Automobile Club at 7:45 p.m. and was presided over by Mr. Jean-Marc Dulong, Grand Master of the GCVB, accompanied by a delegation of representatives from the various Bordeaux wine brotherhoods.
During the induction ceremony, Prince Albert II of Monaco, the guest of honor, was inducted as Honorary High Commander of the first Commanderie de Bordeaux in Monaco! Also inducted were: Master Raphaël Maillet, the Archbishop of Monaco, Honorary Commanders H.E. Jean d’Haussonville, Pierre Lurton, and Vincent Floreani, as well as six other Commanders.
The evening concluded with an elegant gala dinner that lived up to the guests’ expectations, attended by the Honorary Consul of the United Kingdom, the Ambassador of Italy, the Founder and President of Child Care Monaco, Alexandra FORBES, a journalist and food critic, and Edouard JOULIA, Foreign Trade Advisor.
Speeches by the President of the GCVB and the new Commander of the Order gave way to a magnificent and festive evening.
