Time flies, in Bordeaux as it does in your own country! I am two-thirds of the way through my term as Grand Maître.
We hear talk of political and economic crises, physical violence, but also verbal violence, not to mention the difficulties facing the wine industry in general.
No, I have never experienced a crisis such as this. The causes are multiple.
BORDEAUX was the first to be affected. We have only ourselves to blame.
Yet, BORDEAUX is one of the only brands that is truly universal.
We have Grands Crus estates that everyone comes to visit. But we also have all the other Bordeaux wines which undoubtedly offer the "BEST VALUE" in the world today.
On behalf of BORDEAUX, I must thank you for your vibrancy, your enthusiasm, your knowledge of our wines and our region, and your desire to return to BORDEAUX.
