Our 40^th Annual Commanderie de Bordeaux Gala Dinner took place on 10^th December 2025.

Bordeaux shines brightly in Hong Kong

376 members and guest gathered at the ballroom of the Grand Hyatt Hotel on 10^th December to celebrate the 40^th Anniversary of the Hong Kong Commanderie de Bordeaux. This was the 14^th event of the year for us, which was indeed a record!

The format for our annual dinners is always “bring your own Bordeaux” and attendees contributed many incredible and varied bottles of Bordeaux in bottle, magnum, double magnum, jeroboam and imperial!

We also had representatives from The Council General of France, Jean-Charles Cazes of Chateau Lynch-Bages, Howard Kwok of Vignobles K and Commandarie members from Indonesia, Philippines and Wuhan in attendance to help make the 40^th Anniversary celebrations feel extra special for our Hong Kong members.

An amazing four course dinner was prepared by the incredible F&B team at the Grand Hyatt, including a 10 meter cheeseboard that was brought in by all the chefs helping that night! We also enjoyed a live band and a professional photographer was on hand to capture many of the exceptional moments.

A very special thank you to many of our friends in Bordeaux who donated large bottle formats that were given towards the charity dinner and auction held that evening. 13 special lots were auctioned and a total of HK$585,000 was raised. The Hong Kong Commanderie donated a further amount, which resulted in a total of HK$1m being raised for 6 Hong Kong based charity partners that we have been working with.

It was a truly extraordinary evening enhanced by the friendship and fellowship of drinking wonderful Bordeaux wines with friends!
