On Friday the 5^th of September Mrs Blandine de Brier Manoncourt of Chateau Figeac visited our Commanderie for a Winemaker's Evening at Restaurant Vie.

At the pre-dinner tasting we enjoyed Petit Figeac 2021, Chateau Figeac 2018 and Chateau Figeac 2016 and at the subsequent dinner also Chateau Figeac 1995, 2009, 2015 and 2019.

During the evening Mme de Brier with great insight and enthusiasm explained about the tradition but also the changes that has taken place at this great Chateau.

At the Copenhagen Commanderie de Bordeaux we have had a great relationship with the Manoncourt family at Chateau Figeac for decades, and always been very fond of the Figeac Wines.

Even with that in mind we were absolutely fascinated to experience first-hand the positive effects of the changes, that were implemented affecting the vintages from 2015 and onwards.

This was a memorable evening, at a great restaurant for all 30 Bordeaux wine lovers that had the opportunity to participate.
