On Saturday 29th June 2024, as part of the Bordeaux Wine Festival, the Grand Conseil du Vin de Bordeaux and the Bordeaux Wine Brotherhoods gathered in the reception rooms of the CIVB.
The Bordeaux Wine Brotherhoods represented at this occasion were:
La Commanderie du Bontemps Médoc & Graves, Sauternes & Barsac
La Jurade de Saint-Emilion
Les Hospitaliers de Pomerol
L’Ordre des Chevaliers des Vins de Castillon
La Connétablie de Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux
Jean-Marc Dulong, Grand Maître of the GCVB, inducted several key figures from Liverpool, the city Guest of Honour this year, in particular, Steve Rotheram, Mayor of the Region of Liverpool, who was presented with the title of Ambassadeur d’Honneur of Bordeaux Wines.
The honorary title of Conseiller d’Honneur of Bordeaux wines was presented to:
Bill Addy, Chief Executive of the company Liverpool BID,
Patricia Yates, Manager of Visit Britain,
as well as to five leading figures in Bordeaux who have distinguished themselves in the field of promotion and development of wine culture and tourism in Bordeaux:
Sylvie Schmitt, Deputy Mayor of Bordeaux,
Brigitte Bloch, City Councillor, representative for tourism and wine economy,
Laurent Hodebar, Project Manager for tourism at Bordeaux City Hall,
Georges Simon, President of the association Bordeaux Mon Commerce
and
Stessy Faber, Joint-Manager of the restaurants of the group Maison Faber Lascombes.
