A wonderful evening chaired by David Epaud and Blaise Schang, in the reception rooms of the Cercle de l’Union Interalliée, prepared in collaboration with our Treasurer, Pascal Gengoux and our Head of the Wines Committee, Arnaud Saiag.

We began with a very informative presentation given by the CIVB, represented by Marketing Director, Florence Bossard and Technical Director, Marie-Catherine Dufour.

They gave an overview of the current situation in the Bordeaux region and the outlook for the future, with challenges to meet and factors for renewal: customers’ expectations, the future of grape varieties, winemaking and maturing, in an approach ensuring sustainable agriculture.

The presentation was followed by a tasting with a selection of wines which represent Bordeaux’s fine tradition, from the cellar of the CDB Paris and some others generously contributed by certain Commandeurs. The tasting was held in different stages. At each stage, a Commandeur gave comments about the wines.
