"The Bordeaux 2019 Vintage Tasting, en Primeur, was held on Friday 10^th July 2020, from 2pm to 4pm at the Wirtschaftsclub, in the centre of Dusseldorf.

The Grand Maître of Germany, Peter Baumgardt :

“It was with great pleasure that we were able to taste a selection of Bordeaux wines from the 2019 Vintage, with a group of wine enthusiasts from the Commanderies of Dusseldorf and Berlin.

Mrs Gerhild Burkard, a wine tutor of the Bordeaux Wine School, guided us through the regions and classifications. The interesting information and details Mrs Burkard gave us was invaluable and increased even more our love of Bordeaux wines.

Everyone was quite amazed by the diversity of these wines which came from almost every appellation. The fruitiness and above all the balance between fruit and acidity was surprising in these wines which are so young at this stage. We are convinced that a great Vintage awaits us with 2019. 

On behalf of all the participants, I would like to give our sincerest thanks for having given us the opportunity to taste such an interesting selection of wines."
