Gala Evening of the Commanderie de Bordeaux in Hanoi, on 20th January. Promising dynamism!

The Gala Evening by the Commanderie de Bordeaux in Hanoi took place on 20th January 2026 at the prestigious Residence of the French Embassy in Vietnam. Organised at the invitation of Mr Olivier Brochet, French Ambassador to Vietnam, the event was also attended by Mr Julien Guerrier, Ambassador of the European Union.

The event brought together 54 guests, including eight new Commandeurs, four of whom are women, bringing the total number of lady Commanders within the Commanderie to nine.

The wines served were particularly well received and Maître Jean-Michel Caldaguès thanks all the wine estates which supported this event: the wines were Bastor-Lamontagne (Crémant and Sauternes), Blanc de Tronquoy, Château Gazin, Grand-Puy-Lacoste and Lacoste-Borie.

Dinner was prepared by Vietnam's most renowned French chef, who notably cooked lunch for President Emmanuel Macron during his visit in May 2025.

Following an initial Gala held at the end of 2024, this event confirms the successful relaunch of the Commanderie de Bordeaux in Hanoï and opens up promising prospects for the development of future initiatives to promote Bordeaux wines in Vietnam!
