The Commanderie de Bordeaux in Naples, Florida held its 171st Parlement and Induction Ceremony at the Bay Colony Beach Club in Naples on February 7th, 2022.

We were honoured that Eric Vogt, the Grand-Maître of the United States of America came to our Commanderie and conducted the Inductions. Four new members were inducted and one new member was welcomed, who is also a member of the San Francisco and London Commanderies.

The wines served with the dinner included 2014 Domaine de Chevalier Blanc, 1988 Château Margaux, Margaux, which came from the cellar of member Paul St.Onge, one of the hosts for the dinner. 1995 Chateau Lagrange, Saint-Julien, 1994 Chateau Pontet-Canet, Pauillac, 1995 Chateau Calon-Ségur, Saint-Estèphe, and 1988 Chateau Reiussec, Sauternes.
Bay Colony Executive Chef, Michael Mueller prepared a delightful meal to accompany these wines, which included roasted Sea Bass, guinea hen poached with truffle, grilled lamb loin and ricotta cheesecake.

Various members provided background and commentary regarding the wines, as well as the wine and food pairings. The comments were uniformly positive. There was general agreement that the wines were exceptional and the food provided a wonderful accompaniment for the wines for all courses.

Those in attendance enjoyed a delightful evening and everyone expressed our thanks to Grand-Maître Vogt for making the trip to Naples.
