Commanderie
June 15, 2026The Commanderie de bordeaux in Hamburg visits Bordeaux
From June 10 to 15, 2026, a delegation from the Commanderie de Bordeaux in Hamburg travelled to Bordeaux for several days of visits and exchanges.
The stay began on June 10 with an evening gathering at Brasserie Liber in Bordeaux. Beyond the dinner itself, it was a wonderful opportunity to reconnect, united by a shared passion for Bordeaux and its wines. The evening brought together the Hamburg delegation, Jean-Marc Dulong, Grand Master of the GCVB, and his wife Marion, Peer Pfeiffer and his wife Mathilde, as well as Caroline Delaroche and Lou Pichot from the Grand Conseil du Vin de Bordeaux.
The warm and friendly atmosphere perfectly reflected the true spirit of the Commanderies: generosity, fellowship, and the joy of bringing people together.
The following days featured an exceptional programme, including visits to some of the region’s most prestigious estates, where members were welcomed not merely as visitors, but as true friends:
- Château Les Carmes Haut-Brion
- Château Pontet-Canet
- Château Montrose
- Château Haut-Bailly
- Château Malartic-Lagravière
The openness, hospitality, and generosity of the estate owners left a lasting impression on the participants, who greatly appreciated the opportunity to share experiences, expertise, and insights.
The dinner gathering representatives from both Bordeaux and Hamburg perfectly embodied the core values of our Commanderies: respect, exchange, and a shared commitment to promoting Bordeaux wines and culture around the world. The trip also provided an opportunity to discuss the future of the vineyard, the challenges facing the wine industry, and the importance of maintaining strong international relationships between professionals and ambassadors of Bordeaux wines.
The stay concluded with a boat excursion, offering a different perspective on the beautiful Bordeaux landscapes and providing the perfect occasion to celebrate the birthday of one of the Commandeurs.
This journey was a reminder that Bordeaux is, of course, about great wines, but above all about the people, the friendships, and the bonds that unite them.
Bordeaux, Toujours Bordeaux!
